		<description>I think it will take a while for Second Life to be a real platform for learning. I think most people believe that Second Life is, for the most part, populated by a bunch of internet freaks: uber nerds, sexual deviants, vampires, furries, and etc. 

Like the early web, this is not the landscape of education. But if Second Life can stand the test of time it can probably be transformed. Just as we have seen the web change from a silly novelty nerd wonderland to an educational and commercial giant.</description>
