Myanmar: cut the internet?
As emotional as a situation can become over a short period of time, the Myanmar (Burma for all you old school) government’s decision to cut internet connections is a desperate act and clearly a sign that a total crackdown is underway.

Amazon’s new music store
Today Amazon opened the beta door to their new music store amazonmp3beta and as the name suggests, everything is available in mp3 format. In comparison Apple’s iTunes format is AAC for all those millions of iPods.

2007 Future Technologies Conference
Today begins the 2007 Future Technologies Conference in Madison. It will be a tough act to follow. Last year’s event was a tremendous success and I’m looking forward to this year’s events.

Adobe CS3 launch

Internet2 – New Members
As much as Google’s membership gains the biggest headlines (great by the way) and gets the biggest buzz, I believe OSTN’s membership will be a very important benefit for college students around the country (especially at MIAD) studying and producing video. Exciting times indeed for the production and distribution of film/video for education.
