Radio keeps falling away

According to a new Arbitron & Radio Advertising Bureau study, media buyer planners and marketers rated radio the worst among TV, newspapers, magazines and even the internet in terms of accountability, schedule integrity and audience measurement. To no surprise national radio spending has been losing marketshare in the past few years.

ASCAP makes “Podcasting” Official

Pay the royalty fee and your podcast can be “recognized” by ASCAP…..but they spelled it wrong.

Hey guys: It’s ‘Podcast’ (not pod-cast)

What does that say about their understanding if they spell the term incorrectly? Justl keep throwing money towards ASCAP and they will be happy.

Goggle Maps

Now that Google has announced the beta release of their new Maps service, its time to review where we stand. MapQuest and Rand/McNally must be in crisis mode, especially MapQuest.

Google will begin driving users to this service and tie in search and blogging at some point after official release has been posted. However “Local Google” has been in beta release for many months. Google is now having to show Wall Street that technologies served over the web (for free) can help serve the company’s bottom line.
