WiscNet hosted the fall Internet2 K20 Working Group meeting today in Madison at the Pyle Center. We had a big agenda. Our focus continues to be how do we drive Internet2 awareness to K12 and Higher Education. My co-chair Daniel Gross from SWING before the video conference sessions:
We are brainstorming a great plan to communicate and deliver solutions to help educators & administrators learn how to get their arms around Internet2, the obstacles and new learning opportunities.
We also participated in two video conferences. Vanessa Torti from the Milwaukee Public Museum discussed new MPM distance learning opportunities including a shot of a scaled down Tyrannosaurus Rex:
Anne Savage and Christopher Jennings from the Library of Congress Teaching resources and upcoming Internet2 programming. Andrea Deau is setting up our IP video conference:
There are also new opportunities for tagging SEGP organizations…but more on that later.

Have you read Glenn Reynold’s “An Army of Davids”? I think it would be right up your alley.
