Internet2 staff updates:
Ann Doyle – Arts & Humanities: European Terena and Ukrena have really moved forward in distance education vs. shared research. HEAnet in Ireland is also emerging in the area of video conferencing.
Science and Engineering Apps updates came from Russ Hobby. Mike McGill also spoke about new Internet2 partnerships in medicine and one new education working group.
James Werle from UWashington and Inernet2 K20 reviewed the K20 Advisory Group.
Outside of a new emerging database, we looked at my graphic design work for the marketing end of the K20 Working Group. Which is now an issue if the text should list the SEGP or use it as a call to action. What do you think:
Fred Winter reviewed NEH grants in Digital Humanities Initiative:
Its really an exciting time in new grants that follow the post 9/11 “We the People” project.
