A phone call in July 1992 changed my life. I was a System Engineer at Apple working in Chicago. So, a Vice President from Cupertino called asking me to make a presentation on The Oprah Winfrey Show. In fact, the episode’s taping was less than 48 hours away. And yes, this phone call would certainly change your life too.
There is a better way forward
Actually this experience served as a tipping point for my presentation skills. How many times have you sat through a presentation watching someone read every single bullet point on every single slide? This is always an especially painful experience for me. In addition, you can easily remember unprepared job candidates sinking their interviews. Perhaps just as painful as watching someone reading every bullet point
In fact, today you must fully understand that developing presentation skills is required for a very competitive job market as presenting and interviewing are similar in preparation and delivery.
For over 20 years I have helped college students learn the necessary skills, traits, characteristics, and abilities to present their ideas, not how to use PowerPoint.
